Best all around Meijer...
While checking out, the cashier was rude. I had a number of coupons for my items. The cashier grumbled about it, rang up a few, shoved them all in a pile, and put them all in the drawer. When I questioned the price at the end and asked about the coupons, the cashier said the coupons don't show up on that screen. After paying and reviewing my receipt, it is very clear that she did not scan my coupons, kept them, and LIED to me about it. The manager was hardly sympathetic and made excuses about how busy they are. I'm very disappointed that the cashier felt it was okay to lie and cheat a customer of $16.00 worth of coupons.
Selection isn't as good as other Meijer stores, which is fine. But my biggest complaint is that there never seems to be enough cashiers at the register. No matter what time of day I go, it takes forever to check out. It's as if they just bank on everyone using the self-checkout which is even more problematic because they only have one attendant to cover all of the self-checkouts. The lengthiest process about grocery shopping is waiting in the checkout line.
I bought a bike tonight! Miranda at the service desk helped me wheel the bike to my car as I had my grandson and groceries also. She even helped me load it safely into my car! That is service above and beyond the Call of Duty! Thank you Miranda! It's people like her that make Meijer a special place!
Never go after 11pm the customer service is deplorable. No one was willing to check me out when I had a cart full of items. They state I'm going on break. Okay, cool. So I asked can someone else assist me? No, it's too late per Brad. I talk to Four Meijer employees, do you think they decided to help? No. More training needed. So much for taking care of the customer. I guess I need to find a new place to shop. Horrible customer service. Gaines township Meijer is normally good. But tonight was a disaster.
