If I could give it ZERO stars I would! Let me start by saying that we chose this location(I Called Several) because Ty the owner said he would be willing to "work with us" since his contract has a 30 day notice policy(What a JOKE) but we weren't getting a closing date on our new house for a few weeks and we were in between homes and needed a place to store for awhile. We signed on the week of July 10 and he charged me for 1/2 the month and August came out the beginning of the month. When I signed, I once again reiterated that we wouldn't be able to give him much notice because as soon as we get the "green light" from the mortgage company we were getting our stuff out. His response as it ALWAYS was..."I'll work with you". Unfortunately I took him at it word and should have gotten it in writing. I called on August 23 and told him we would have everything out by August 26. He told me too bad, you have to pay the FULL MONTH OF SEPTEMBER!!! REALLY?!?! Are there seriously people lining up waiting for a 10x20 storage cube? I can see paying 1/2 month and even that is ridiculous but that wouldn't have warranted a poor review so Apparently $105/Month is more important then a repeat customer or word of mouth business. So if you want WORD OF MOUTH....Here's my advice...DO NOT USE THIS STORAGE PLACE.....EVER!! My stuff is all out and as of today 8/28 I just had $105 I'm paying for an empty space!
Tia, the owner, lives by his contracts. Read them very thoroughly as there won't be any grace and if you miss anything, you'll pay!
Used South Kent Storage to store house hold items during a move. Was only there for a couple of months but Ty was very nice and helpful during the move. Several other storage places wouldn't even return my calls.
Super friendly and convenient, price just went up tho, that's the only downside.
